Located in southern Brazil in the city of Jaguaruna-SC, is the Laje da
Jagua. A stone slab with shallow about 1 meter deep. The wave of 5.3
kilometers from the coast and records with waves over 30 feet have been
made against the peak, putting Brazil on the world map of big waves.

Considered a mystical and dangerous wave was discovered by two
experienced Tow Surfers Brazilian Rodrigo "Monster" Resende and Zeca
Schefer (in memory) in 2003.

The first event of Tow-In was held in Brazil by Mormaii Wetsuits, the
"Mormaii Jaguaruna In Tow Pro," in which the duo Carlos Burle and Eraldo
Gueiros took first place.

In 2005 he founded the Association of Tow In Jaguaruna (ATOWINJ) which
is represented by Tow Surfers local double Thiago Jacaré and Plinio Cruz.
Currently the wave of the Laje of Jagua is considered the largest wave of
Brazil. We study the possibility of holding a close-circuit Brazilian Tow In,
step in the year 2010.
